GOAL Scholarship Participation
The Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program (also known as the GOAL Scholarship) makes an extraordinary impact on our school—providing financial aid for highly qualified students with financial needs. Through the program, Georgia state residents, S- and C-corporations, LLCs, partnerships, and trusts can redirect a portion of their Georgia tax liability to support financial aid at independent schools of their choice.
To note: Participation in the Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program is NOT a charitable donation to Savannah River Academy; rather, it’s a redirection of tax liability already owed to the state of Georgia. below.
Parent Service Organization
At Savannah River Academy, we believe in partnering with parents in their child’s education. Because of the dedication of our parents, we are not simply a school — we are a community of families. By participating in the life of the school, parents can make a positive and meaningful difference in their child’s educational experience at SRA.
The Parent Service Organization (PSO) is the volunteering and relationship-building organization for Savannah River Academy parents. This organization provides opportunities for parents to share their time and talents by creating school-wide events, specialized committees with specific focus areas, and organizing staff appreciation efforts. All SRA families are part of the PSO and are encouraged to contact their representative or committee chairperson to become involved. Together, we can accomplish so much for our students and our school.
There are three main ways we ask our community to support SRA:
The SRA Annual Fund
GOAL Scholarship participation
Parent Service Organization
We also hope parents will consider donating to periodic campaigns for capital projects or endowment funds to make SRA better in the present and for generations to come.
Savannah River Academy’s Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is the school’s most important fundraising initiative each year. It is a critical revenue stream in our operating budget and ensures we can sustain our programs and meet emerging needs. Like tuition, donations to the Annual Fund are used during the current school year. Annual Fund gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
The impact of the Annual Fund is evident across campus. It helps fund technology upgrades, faculty professional development, off-campus learning opportunities, and curriculum enhancements. Like every independent school, Savannah River Academy relies on the generosity of our community to meet our Annual Fund goal every year. We are grateful for the many grandparents, relatives, and friends who also contribute.
As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the school can be eligible to receive corporate matching gifts. Please check with your employer about available opportunities to direct funds to Savannah River Academy.
